Temperature measurement in harsh environment like chemical storage, mines, deep soil wells is not easy and most of the temperature sensors can not withstand the intense heat and surrounding condition. This Waterproof DS18b20 Temperature Probe temperature sensor as the name suggests is waterproof and is suitable for use in harsh and dangerous environment. It can measure a wide range of temperature i.e. from -55°C to 125°C. This sensor works on 1 wire communication i.e it require only 1 wire and a pull up resistor to communicate data with the Microcontroller. As it comes in a small package so it can be used at various points to measure temperature.

As this utilizes a 1 wire data transmission method, it has only three wires VCC, Data and GND. Connect them to the microcontroller or development board you are using and read the data with the help of the datasheet. But if you are using Arduino then there is library you can use to read the data.
